What is justice?

There is only one real kind of justice. That is receiving back the same energy we give out.

If there is no justice in this cosmos, then the whole thing is a sham and deserves to burn, for it is valueless, in the truest meaning of the word.

Many of us act as if justice were just something people conjured up.

Anyone who believes in justice, while they are in balance, will not give out any energy they would not wish to receive in return.

This is the origin of the golden rule:

DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU.

This rule doesn't just refer to how we treat other humans. It goes way beyond that to how we treat all lifeforms, for all life is the creation of the One Creator.

That doesn't mean we are not to eat food essential for our nourishment or to sparingly use the resources the earth provides for our survival, creativity and comfort.

It does mean treating all forms of life with respect and not being wasteful of the earth's resources.

These are obvious commandments to anyone who respects the Creator and believes this universe is not some random occurrence but, instead, something deeply beautiful and meaningful and the creation of an equally beautiful and meaningful spirit or mind.

The mystery of the existence of evil

I think the existence of evil is one of the most perplexing things for people to comprehend. 

We can talk about free will and some beings choosing to use it in a harmful way, but that still doesn't describe how evil got a foothold, and a major one at that (as in "who is the King of this world" from the Bible) and how something pure and innocent can be intentionally corrupted by an unknown, alien, misunderstood being, group of beings or force.

How did evil turn up in this obviously beautiful universe?

One question is whether the battle between good and evil is just a transitory thing, an earthly thing, and an ultimately unimportant thing, perhaps to assist human evolution, or is it a real spiritual struggle with real stake in the game and no guaranteed outcome?

Evil appears to want to destroy all that is good, noble, pure and natural. It seems to be a force or being that hates God and hates God's creations and wants them all destroyed or under its control. 

I have read convincing reasons why this is the case by the prolific spiritual author Kim Michaels, but I can not say with any certainty that he is correct.

It is just beyond my realm of direct knowing.

God and the existence of evil

There is a lot of confusion about evil. 

Some deny it exists and others believe it is a creation of God to test us and to educate and strengthen us.

My own understanding is that neither of these viewpoints are true.

As soon as a being is created with free will the potential for using that will destructively exists.

So evil, from this perspective, is a choice made by a free will being to act destructively, individually or en masse, towards other beings.

Why a being would choose to attempt to control and damage other beings is a big question which requires a detailed answer.

I recommend Kim Michael's books and his website articles for that.

It's been a fascination of his for some time, and his books are very detailed and are the consequence of inspiration, like many writings in the Bible.

To summarise what I'm saying here:

1. God did not create evil, but he created beings with free will that could choose an upward path  or a downward path in evolution.

2. Whether God foresaw how some free will beings would use that free will destructively is beyond my knowledge base. 

I don't necessarily believe God is all knowing, or at least able to predict the outcome of free will choices with certainty. 

That's the whole point of having free will. 

If behaviour could be accurately predicted 100% ahead of time it wouldn't be free will, it would be determinism, which would be like creating an army of robots. 

And that would be boring and pointless.

Without the unexpected there would be very little point to life.

3. By the respecting of free will, even what we would call "evil actions" must be allowed. 

In fact, there may be no way to stop such actions without harming every living thing on the planet.

For example, the great flood in which Noah and his family and a selection of animals (and plants?) survived. 

This was to wipe out the evil (which can mean humankind becoming deeply mired in materialism) which had become out of control and was causing souls to sink into the abyss.

Such circumstances may require the overriding of free will so that a new "playing board" can be created to allow upward spritual growth to happen once again.

Fearing God and cause and effect

I often hear the quote "fear God", but I don't believe it's God we need to fear.

After all, God is all love and mercy.

Instead, what we need to be concerned about is cause and effect. 

This is how we learn. 

There is no punishment, per se, just the outcome of our actions, experienced both here and in the next world. 

How else could we learn, if we never reaped what we sowed? 

In that case we would be able to get away with murder, and this creation would be a madhouse, with no effective governing rules.

Thankfully, that's not how it works, but this fact will upset some, who have acted as if there will be no consequence to what they have done during their lifetime.

An observation on the Lincoln Memorial

I think the Lincoln Memorial is a fine piece of architecture but that turning Abraham Lincoln into an idol with a huge sculpture in Washington DC is anti-Christian. 

Personalities don't matter to God (Acts 10:34) and so we should not be glorifying them.

It's only actions that count, not the person that does them, and so actions can be lauded but the person carrying them out should not be idolised in any way.

Are ETs demons?

Is it only flat earthers that believe extraterrestrials are demons in disguise? 

It seems like such a backwards, medieval way to look at things. Not to mention incredibly pessimistic and showing a terrible regard for God. They made Him seem so small and pathetic. I just put it down to people possessing a small minded fear. Like small town thinking or like how a secluded stone age tribe on an island resort to attacking any visitors to their island. Obviously the visitors are demons and must be killed. It's the same limited, fear-based mental pattern. And what if they're wrong? Think of what could be gained from communication and cooperation with a society of beings far advanced spiritually and technically from our own? Or do they think God only created one planet and one dominant species to rule it? Although this is incredibly limiting it is theoretically possibile and it's belief make humans feel more important, which is an ego thing, but I think it hugely unlikely. And that's a good thing. If the soul is immortal they're had better be myriad worlds for it to experience, otherwise a deep bordem mady set in. In which case an eternity would be a very long time to endure.

God's will, God's desire and free will

When people say "God's will" I think they generally mean God's desire. For example, humans are generally thought to have free will, in which case our life is lived according to our own will, not according to the will of a hypothesised supreme being. 

We may believe in a supreme being and we may also believe this being has a desire for us to live in harmony with love, for example. But the idea that a supreme being wills us to live a certain way makes no sense if we believe in free will. 

If we believe a creator made this reality then we could say that this reality is shaped according to the will of the creator. But we can't say that about our lives. We only will things that we can control. The things we cannot control we can only have a desire about. For example, we may desire another person to love us as we love them, but we can't will it. To repeat, we can only will things we control. And if we believe in free will then no creator controls us. That's the whole point of free will and it's something few people seem to understand.

God's will v free will

I don't believe the Creator dictates our life as many seem to believe. Instead, I believe we have free will. That free will can be used any way we please, but that doesn't mean our actions don't have consequences, it just means we are in control of our life and the consequences of our actions are our responsibility, not the God's.

That doesn't mean I don’t believe in a "righteous path", it just means that I don't think God or the Creator directs our lives, that's all.

Thoughts about God/the Creator

The belief in God or a Creator is simple logic. The cosmos was either created by a living entity or a machine. It didn’t just pop into being out of nowhere. But machines are made by living beings, so everything must have started with one (or more) living entities. 

The origin of the original being who created all the other beings is beyond the ability of the intellect to conceive. Who created God? As the Creator is outside time ideas of causation must be different in such a reality. 

Of course people can speculate the universe has always been and needed no creator. But life exists, consciousness exists, and these can't come from a dead universe. So that idea seems illogical to me. What seems logical is life/consciousness is the base unit of existence, not dead matter. And that it creates life and matter for life to experience.

The One became many and is experiencing itself through its relations between its separate parts.

Jealousy and possessiveness are ungodly

Jealous partners should either shape up or be shipped out the door. It isn't part of God's plan to keep people apart because of someone's weakness and fear. I don't like marriage for that reason. Too much of an "ownership" feel. I don't judge people who think it's necessary, but I don't understand any need for it, unless it's to get a visa or something worldly like that. 

But jealousy can occur inside or outside a marriage. It's ungodly and the jealous person ought to be ashamed. They need to get it out of their system before attacking and trying to control others, which is often their partner. If not, they should be dumped. 

At least until they learn to live in a godly way. Which is to allow their partner to associate with whomever they are drawn to. That is God speaking. To get in the way of this is a major sin. 

Check the coffee store scenes in the new Matrix movie. Trinity befriends her, yet to be realised, soul mate Neo, but is unfortunately married to some shmuck, who tries to keep them apart. And thankfully the husband ultimately fails, as he is seen for what he truly is, just an agent for the Matrix (of control).

The way of the world is wrong in so many ways, jealousy being just one particularly ugly one. Don't let it happen to you. Stop before you say or do something you will later regret! And work on yourself, to allow every other being their free will to decide their own destiny, without any pressure from you.

Physics, multiple universes and the "God machine"

Some scientists like to hypothesise an endless number of universes so they can "explain" how this one happens to have all the physical laws required for life to "evolve" (from rocks!)

As if there is some kind of machine that creates universes ad infinitum and this one just happens by chance to be "life friendly".

The idea of a conscious creator who knows what it's doing is too much for them to handle. 

It's too close to religion, which many of them seem to hate, hence their "God machine", universe spewing idea, with zero evidence for it, as far as I know.

But there are some in the area of physics willing to admit that the evidence for design is overwhelming and to try to explain it away is the definition of unscientific thinking.

Not all creatures created by a loving God

I don't believe a loving God created all the creatures on earth such as ticks, leeches, fleas and mosquitoes. 

Whether they came about by evolution or some other means I don't know, but certainly no loving being would create such vile lifeforms. 

Evil scientists maybe, given what they do now with gain of function research and weaponising disease. 

After all, humans are capable of great evil when not in attunement with their spiritual nature and when technical knowhow is added in all manner of horrors are possible.

A pure platform

A pure platform takes no position on anything, beyond providing fair rules of engagement. 

After all, that's what God does with this earth. 

Free will rules. 

We get to choose.

It's called "trusting the individual to create their own life", rather than "imposing your will on other people".

Science and God

The idea that science and God are at loggerheads is a nonsense to me.

Science is one method to explore God's universe and come to an understanding of it. It isn't opposed to God at all, it's just an investigation of what God (or gods) have made, that is all!

And the idea that science has "disproved God" or made it clear that a creator God isn't needed to create a universe is pure fantasy, in my view!

Mirror world/Will of God

If the world reflects back what we project into it, as is generally accepted, then we can't blame anything on "God's will" because we are the creator of our lives (in concert with everything else) and not subject to some external God with a will of their own they are somehow projecting onto us.

In this case, the "will of God" is not something forced on anyone, but something that is either reflected in the inherent laws of the world, or something held by its creator(s) in Hope's of the direction the world would take.

But perhaps the "will of God" is just for us to continue to live and create freely, using the tools at our disposal- the qualities and substances of this universe.

Personal authority and a non-interventionist God

Many individuals struggle to come to terms with the notion of a non-interventionist God. People, in their fear of individual responsibility, look to outside sources to make decisions for them. So they join a church or the military. To take full responsibility for one's own actions is too much to bear for many. As a result we have a political situation where a large portion of the population places their trust in individuals they have little true awareness of. As a result "the wool" is often pulled over the populations eyes.

The ultimate aim for all of us is to become our own authority and to make decisions for ourselves. This is the purpose of creation. We are created to freely decide our own life. There is no God telling us how to live.

There are approaches to life which have more favorable outcomes such as those given by Jesus in his sermon on the mount recorded in the Christian bible.

However, the creator, in its infinite generosity has given us each the greatest gift of all- FREE WILL.  And the whole point of free will is that it is ours to use and the responsibility for its use lies solely with us. No-one else can be held to blame. In this regard we are all students learning how to use our free will in a way that is most pleasing to ourselves

Cell complexity and the death of naturalism

Naturalism is the idea that life on earth arose spontaneously, without outside intelligent agency, from simple proteins combining to form a living cell, able to reproduce itself, and able to evolve over time into the myriad of life forms we see today.

Did one or many gods create Earth?

It is commonly believed by followers of monotheistic religions that the original being (God /Creator) who began all processes of creation, single-handedly created the Earth and all life upon it.

This is a simple belief that satisfies many, but the reality is we have no way of knowing the truth of this matter, unless we have memory of this event occurring- which I know of none that claim to have.

In reality, there is no reason to believe that the original Creator is responsible for every individual act of creativity that has occurred since the original movement from formless being into the creation of worlds.

Clearly, humans are also creative beings, responsible for having a dramatic effect on the world around them, and so, similarly, it is possible that the original Creator may have given birth to additional creative beings who went on to create other beings, worlds, and forms of life to inhabit these worlds.

In other words, the original Creator may have delegated further creation to a variety of beings that "He" created.  We would call these beings gods due to their greater creative powers than we humans and if these gods possess free will then the worlds they create would be their responsibility and not the responsibility of the original Creator.

There is no reason to suggest that the physical universe was the work of one creative mind.  It may be the work of several or even a vast number of creative minds.  If so, the universe would be the combined responsibility of all these creative beings rather than the responsibility of the original creator just as the situation on Earth is the combined responsibility of the individual free will beings living upon it.

Many people struggle to understand why a supposedly loving God would create diseases, nuisance insects and the battle for survival we see on Earth.  The answer may be that the situation on Earth and the life forms that exist upon it may be the work of a large variety of creative beings who may not always have created in a "Godly" way.  That is, some may have created out of ignorance or even ill-will.  The truth is, we have no way of knowing first hand.  But what we do know is that if all life forms were created by beings other than the original Creator then these beings bear responsibility for them.

Is God in control of the world?

Clearly, if mankind has free will - which I believe* we do - then an external God is not in control of the world.  That means we can't thank or blame a God for the actions undertaken by man.

Does this mean anything goes?  Yes, I believe it does, as the bloody history of mankind shows.
