Evil was never created by God. Evil was never authorized by God. Evil is not necessary for the unfoldment of God’s purposes. Evil is not a polar opposite of God or of God-good.

Evil is the result of a choice. The original choice was made by Lucifer, who refused to go along with God’s decision to create, or rather to expand creation. Satan was one of Lucifer’s lieutenants, and he chose to follow Lucifer when the former left the circle of God.

When God originally created the material universe, God envisioned no role whatsoever for dark forces. However, God gave human beings free will and God respects his own laws. When human beings used their free will to descend into a lower state of consciousness, they made themselves vulnerable to the temptations and the manipulations of dark forces. This was not what God wanted to happen. However, because God had given people free will, God allowed it to happen.

No such thing as mind over matter

There is no such thing as mind over matter, for matter is mind, objectified.

But when it comes to healing the body it takes time, for natural processes must be enacted- and these cannot be hurried!  However, processes can be completed quickly when the our mind  is not inhibiting the natural functioning of the cells which have their own intelligence and ability to seek homeostasis.

The truth is out there?

I believe X-Files was right in saying that the truth is out there. However, no institution is promoting it- so you've got to find out for yourself!

Question: Since angels are assigned to us, are there also evil angels/spirits assigned to us by Lucifer or the devil to cause us problems during our lifetime?

Jesus: You are absolutely right that the dark forces do assign lower spirits to each human being. This is a truth that has never been generally accepted, and the reason is a psychological mechanism.

Scientists have observed that birds sometimes respond contrary to what would be expected. Whereas animals normally react with a fight or flight response, a bird that is confronted with a severe threat might pretend to be sleeping instead of make an attempt to escape. This mechanism is also present in the human psyche.

The simple fact is that if a human being is confronted with a threat from which it believes it has no defense, it will go into denial about the existence of the threat. Since human beings cannot detect evil spirits with the physical senses, it is quite possible for them to deny the existence of such spirits. This is indeed what many religious people have been doing for thousands of years, and in today's world many people use the theories of science to deny the reality of such spirits. You even see some modern Christian theologians who deny the existence of evil spirits, even though the Bible clearly demonstrates that I cast out such spirits on numerous occasions.

The aims and dangers of science and religion

At their core, both science and religion represent the search for truth- science the physical truth of existence and religion the psychological or spiritual truth.

Problems arise when those with fearful motives use these endeavors to create a fear-based world view that seeks to punish and control others. This explains the development of religions into political systems that attempt to control and limit the actions and beliefs of its followers. When science turns into “the scientific establishment” a similar process tends to occur. We find an elite is created which seeks to gain and maintain control over those who view them as "authorities".

Those not driven by fear do not seek to control the thoughts and actions of others and such people do not use science or religions as a weapon to attack others with. A powerful person is one who allows the freedom of others and enables them to find their own path to truth and knowledge.

Jerry Hick's death and the validity of the Abraham material

I read and listen widely and the Abraham material is one source of teachings that I have returned to over the years. I am also interested in criticism of any work I study but I have found no criticism of Abraham-Hicks to be particularly convincing.

For me what matters is the material- the teachings themselves. I never felt Jane Roberts death in 1985 cast any aspersions on her work with the Seth Material, for example. The material still speaks for itself and I never hold the life of the messenger as being the example of whether the work is valid or not. That measurement is my own experience and what I observe of the world around me.

The nature of this work is that it connects our inner and outer experience and because we only have access to our own inner experience we can only judge the validity of the work by looking at our own life and inner world. Other people's experiences are irrelevant in this regard because we don't have access to their inner experience to judge its relationship to their outer manifestations.

Jerry's death and his use of chemotherapy near the end doesn't surprise me. Sure, it reflects a lack of faith in his ability to heal himself but when you are desperate most will turn to outside help and may even use treatments they previously rejected. This says nothing about the validity of the teachings, it just tells us about human nature and the nature of human conditioning.

Allow wellbeing rather than fighting disease- ABRAHAM

"If there is no source of illness, why are there so many sick people?"

It is because they have found lots of excuses to hold themselves in vibrational discord with wellness.  They are not letting it in. And when they don't let it in, the absence of it looks like sickness.

And when enough of them do it you say, "Oh, there must be a source of sickness. In fact, let's give it a label. Let's call it cancer. Let's call it AIDS. Let's call it all kinds of terrible things, and let's imply that it jumps into people's experience."

And we say it never jumps into anybody's experience. It's just that people learn through trial and error, and through banging around with each other, patterns of thought that don't let [wellbeing] in.

Vaccination, free will and the law

Comment posted by me on the following site in response to a vaccination debate.

The decision whether to vaccinate oneself or not against any given disease presents no problems for adults. Those who believe in the value of any given vaccine are free to receive it and those who don’t are free to abstain.

Problems only exist when we are talking about children and what is right for them.

Because children are generally seen as unable to make a wise decision on vaccination the decision is generally left to their parents to make (with often strong encouragement from the medical establishment and the government).

This reliance on parents to make this decision on behalf of their children is seen as problematic by some because they believe not all parents are fit to do so, especially those parents who question the value and safety of vaccines. Such parents are often viewed as irrational or dangerous by those with equally strong, but opposing views, about the value of vaccines, in general.

Many social factors make the decision to not vaccinate a child a difficult one here in Australia. The question as to whether the state should intervene when parents choose not to vaccinate their child is one that can be reasonably debated. Many things are already compulsory in our society and vaccination would just add to this list. Already the free will of the individual is compromised by many government edicts and there are those who push for ever more centralised control of our lives by distant, unelected bureaucrats.

As a liberty lover I prefer to see decision making democratised to the individual level rather than centralised to a small group of elites who can easily be corrupted, even if this means individuals are making decisions others do not agree with or think rational.  For, to go down the opposite path and impose unwanted things on the individual and community is a step towards the kind of totalitarian control over our lives by government that few would appreciate and George Orwell warned about in his "1984" novel!

We should take whatever medication we believe is effective irrespective of what others think. This enables us to harness the power of belief which is a large factor in any healing technique. To do otherwise would be irrational!

God, religion and freedom

God has nothing to do with religion or religious intolerance. For these are purely the works of man and his attempt to control his fellow man!

If life is the expression of a creator we call God then clearly the will of God is for us to live freely, making our own decisions as we see fit. For this is how life presents itself to us. Only our fellow man attempts to limit our freedom.

As for the religious books, although some parts of these are obviously well intentioned, it is clear that these are the works of men with limited consciousness for they are full of rules and regulations. I don't believe they are rules and regulations given by the originator of life. What we are given from the originator is just wide, open, free life, which we are able to live as we choose, no strings attached!

This doesn't mean our actions are without consequences, but these consequences are the natural result of systems set in place that are clearly observable if we pay attention to our own experience, learning from our mistakes.

"Love your neighbor" because this makes life more pleasant for you and your neighbor, not because to refuse would send you to some eternal hell imagined by the priestly caste to control the population and give them some false sense of power over them!
